The spring fit-out of the Kawartha Voyageur is almost finished and our 2024 crew will be reporting on May 01 for our annual pre-season training. We are currently 92% booked for 2024 and are looking forward to our first 6 night SPRING PLUS cruise which boards on May 12. We still have several cabins available on our May SPRING PLUS cruises.
While some of our cruise dates are now fully booked, we do get 2 or 3 cancellations per cruise and there is no obligation to place your name on the wait list for as many cruise dates as you like. There is a separate wait list set up for each cruise date that is full. If your name comes up on a given cruise date, we will give you a call. If the date doesn't suit when we call, we simply call the next person on the wait list for that particular cruise.
Ontario Waterway Cruises Inc. remains committed to the health, safety, comfort and enjoyment of our passengers and crew aboard the Kawartha Voyageur. Ontario Waterway Cruises Inc. is subject to federal transportation regulations. Transport Canada no longer requires all passengers and crew to be "fully vaccinated" against COVID-19. We most certainly encourage our passengers to follow the guidance of our Ontario government health authorities who continue to recommend that people maintain their COVID-19 protection by taking the relative "booster shots".
The US/CDN exchange rate continues to be very favourable for our friends from the United States. The present cost of our 2024 cruises including tax is $US 2,190. (subject to change according to the exchange rate when your final balance is paid).
You may view our 2024 cruise schedule and pricing by clicking Cruise Dates on the menu at the top of this page. For specific information and rates on our Rideau, Quinte or Kawartha cruises, please click CRUISES on the menu above then select one of the three cruise routes. All cruises in any given year are the same price.
2023 was our 41st season cruising the historic waterways of Ontario. The Trent-Severn Waterway and the World Heritage Rideau Canal have been operating since 1833. The Trent-Severn Waterway was not fully open to thru navigation until 1920. Both waterways are part of Canada's National Parks and are open from mid-May to mid-October.
Thank you for your continued interest in our cruises here in Ontario. Whether it be your first or a return, we look forward to welcoming you aboard the Kawartha Voyageur for a refreshing and memorable voyage.
